Giving praise where it's due

Praise for the young learner is part of the package. What about the elderly?

I read once that older people seldom hear 'Well done'. I took this to heart making a point to reward even the slightest progress and effort of our older generation. It worked wonders. They doubled up their effort to please.

Now it has been scientifically verified. In a study in Japan it was found that complimenting a group of elderly exercisers held a benefit which even carried over to the next day.

Watch out for every chance to praise the slightest effort to comply with our instructions.
